APCMPC Committee announced the 4th annual “Amiyaprabha Chaudhuri Memorial Photography Competition” (APCMPC-2018).
We are now in our 4th year with this prestigious competition in 2018. It is an event now that needs no introduction- it has become a everyday name amongst out photography community of Tripura.
Please note that the total amount of prize money is over Rs 250,000.00 this year.
Open ONLY to the people of Tripura, this is soley a personal enterprize of Dr. Swapan Chaudhuri, an NRI from Tripura in the loving memory of his late mother-Mrs Amiyaprabha Chaudhuri. The purpose is to encourage the photographers of our tiny little lovely state to be better creators of this fine art.

APCMPC কমিটি ৪র্থ বার্ষিক “আমিয়প্রভা চৌধুরী মেমোরিয়াল ফটোগ্রাফি কম্পিটিশন” (APCMPC -2018) ঘোষণা করেছে।
2018 সালে আমরা এই মর্যাদাপূর্ণ প্রতিযোগিতায় চতুর্থ বছরে রয়েছি। এটি এখন এমন একটি প্রতিযোগিতা যার আর কোন পরিচয় দেবার প্রয়োজন হয় না- ত্রিপুরা আলোকচিত্র প্রেমীদের মধ্যে এটি একটি দৈনন্দিন ব্যবহার করা নাম নাম হয়ে উঠেছে।
অনুগ্রহ করে মনে রাখবেন যে পুরষ্কারের মোট পরিমাণ এই বছরের ২,৫০,০০০ লক্ষ টাকা ছাড়িয়ে গেছে।
ছবি জমা দেওয়ার সময়সীমা ১৫ অক্টোবর ২০১৮ থেকে ১৫ নভেম্বর ২০১৮ পর্যন্ত।
ফলাফল আমাদের তিন দিনের বার্ষিক কার্যক্রমের শেষ দিনে ঘোষণা করা হবে – যেটা কি না ডিসেম্বরে শেষ সপ্তাহে অনুষ্ঠিত হয়। তারিখ এখনো চূড়ান্ত করা যায় নি। সেটা যথা সময়ে জানিয়ে দেয়া হবে।
এই প্রতিযোগিতা ত্রিপুরার সমস্ত অধিবাসী, বর্তমানে যেখানেই থাকুন না কেন, এবং অন্য রাজের অধিবাসী যারা বর্তমানে ত্রিপুরায় আছেন তাদের সবার জন্যই উন্মুক্ত। প্রবাসী ভারতীয় ডাঃ স্বপন চৌধুরীর তাঁর প্রয়াতা মা, স্বর্গীয়া আমিয়প্রভা চৌধুরীর স্মৃতির প্রতি শ্রদ্ধা জানাতে এটি একটি সম্পূর্ণ ব্যক্তিগত উদ্যোগ। যার উদ্দেশ্য আমাদের সবার প্রিয় এই ছোট্ট পাহাড়ি রাজ্য ত্রিপুরার জনগণকে উৎসাহিত করে আলোকচিত্র শিল্পের চারুকলার এক নিরন্তর উন্নতিসাধন করা।

APMC announced the 3rd annual “Amiyaprabha Chaudhuri Memorial Photography Competition” (APCMPC-2017).
This is the 3rd year of this prestigious competition which carries a total prize money of almost Rs. 2 Lakhs this year. As this competition was conceived to encourage the photographers of Tripura – it is restricted to the people of the state of Tripura only.

Amiyaprabha Chaudhuri Memorial Photography Competition-2016 (APCMPC-2016)
Amiyaprabha Memorial Committee is excited to announce their second annual photography competition (APCMPC-2016)
Last year this yearly competition was started by Dr. Swapan Chaudhuri in memory of his mother,AmiyapravaChaudhuri and to encourage the people of Tripura, especially the young generation to nurture the creative artist in them and show their talents through photographic images.
The response was phenomenal. Boosted by that, we have expanded the categories this year.
Also, we have increased to total prize money close toRs.150000.00 (one and half lakhs).
This competition is exclusively limited to the people of Tripura living anywhere and to anybody living in Tripura at present.
Submission of photographs will start on Oct.15th and will end on Nov. 30th 2016
Results will be announced in the last week of December- date yet to be finalized.

It was exactly a year ago that I dreamed of doing something in Tripura in memory of our late mother. Being a passionate photographer, I thought that organizing an annual photography competition exclusively for the photographers of Tripura would be good and my family wholeheartedly agreed with it.
Thus Amiyaprabha Chaudhuri Memorial Photography Competition (APCMPC) was born! Rest was History.
What a success it was! Participation surpassed all our expectations and speculations and it became the most talked about topic amongst our photogs for quite some time!
We are back for the competition in 2016 with a bang! Encouraged by the response, I wanted to make it a real gala event and hence, I have doubled the prize money, added new categories and still kept it open only to the photogs of Tripura so that they get encouraged to nurture their creative talents-and going by the submission standard of the last year- there is no dearth of it in Tripura.
It will be in the last week of December. The dates and venue will be finalized soon. Please follow us on FB to remain updated about the event- all announcements will be made there. Please remember, this is totally a privately organized event. We have no sponsor. The hard work of our Amiyaprava Memorial Committee ( AMC) members made it a success last year and they are committed to make it even a bigger success this year!
I am also planning to have an exhibition of some of the pictures taken by me. While n nothing great, I hope you all will like it!
So, folks, start working on your best shot for this big event. Shoot. Give your inner creativity a boost and create an image that will win us with its emotional impact! Win big!
